Silk Isn't Just for Emperors Anymore

In ancient times, China was known for its gorgeous silks, vibrant colors, and beautiful detailed artwork. With its westward expansion, the whole world clamored to own their art. This spring, China is seeking to meld its traditional beautiful silks and colors with a more contemporary style.

Cheerful colors and nature patterns are perfect for spring. Little Mandarin dresses such as these promise to be prevalent this spring. This style could easily be converted into a tunic top as well. Pair it with leggings or perhaps skinny pants in a nude color, so as not to detract from the boldness of the top.

Spring also brings more classy haute outfits from the Chinese Fashion Week runways. A gown like this was inspired by the Qiang dynasty style of soft colors and floral embroidery. Perfect for spring formals.

Styles like this, that blend perfectly the more modern dress styles with traditional, mystical beauty couldn't help but take the world by storm, just as they did thousands of years ago.

Stay classy, ladies
