A Red Carpet Affair

Last night was definitely an interesting award show, to say the least. I'm here with the scoop on last night's Grammy Award Ceremony best and worst dressed, along with some trends we saw on the red carpet.

Girl's Best Dressed
Jennifer Lopez
Florence Welch
Kelly Osbourne
Florence definitely took the cake for best dressed last night, sporting an etherial Givenchy swan dress, whose colors complimented her skin and fiery hair in all the right ways. British bombshell Kelly Osbourne showed us all her hourglass shape with a ruffled, lavender Tadashi Shoji dress. A+, Kelly! J.Lo, infamous for her sexy award show attire, was looking younger and better than ever in her shiny Emilio Pucci dress with clutch and pumps to match. Jenny from the block was definitely showcasing her rocks last night!

Guy's Best Dressed
Ricky Martin
Adam Levine
B.O.B.

Props to Maroon 5's lead singer, Adam Levine, for rocking such a bold look last night. I really appreciate when celeb guys don't give into the boring tux look and come in their own style. Although some say the trending parachute pant isn't a good look, I think Adam made it work with the high-top combat boots. I especially liked the tight-sleeve suit jacket and grey tee combo. Another head-turner last night was B.O.B, who mix and matched a suit, done his way. I really liked the blood-red jacket for Valentine's day, accompanied by a white scarf and studded pants. Atta boy. Last but not least, we have the very handsome Ricky Martin who took skinny jeans to a new level. I've been reading mixed reviews about these futuristic pants, but I personally like them. They go well with his upper-body-attire and combat boots, and accentuate those sexy Puerto Rican legs! Keep livin' la vida loca, my friend. If anyone knows what designers these boys are wearing, please let me know :)

Worst Dressed
Anna Nalick
Nicki Minaj
Haley Williams

Oh lordy, where do I even begin? Anna Nalick, whom I've never heard of before, was wearing who-knows-what's dress last night and made me feel very morbid. This girl was just a giant question mark last night. This dress had potential, but is just over-assaulted in sheer and made me feel suffocated. Her raccoon eyes weren't very flattering and made her look like a cracked-out Florence Welch. Our next fashion emergency is Paramore's Haley Williams, who rolled up to the Grammy's in a creepy, customized side-show-circus dress by Jeremy Scott. Once again, we see some unflattering sheer usage and an attack of obnoxiously hot pink fur around her hips, which clashed with her red hair. This dress was just misery business, Haley. Is that Frankenstein's Bride? Nope, it's Nicki Minaj! To be honest I think this Givenchy dress could have been cute, if worn correctly. Unfortunately, Martha, Roman, Rosa, and Barbie didn't let Nicki know that she was over-doing it with the cheetah print tights, shoes, and hair, so she showed up looking like a dungeon dragon. Better luck next time, girls!

Trends: big shoulder pads, shimmer on top of shimmer covered in shimmer, sheers, fur/feathers(just for Cee Lo), ruffles, abstract cuts, middle hair parts, animal prints, showcased hips, leather jackets, golds, sunglasses, white suits, and you know, arriving in a giant egg.
