William Rast show ft. Justin Timberlake at Selfridges

Hello,

Tonight I was off to see the show of fashion label 'William Rast', the brainchild of Justin Timberlake and friend Trace Ayala, which is being sold at Selfridges where the show was held.

The womenswear collection is tomboyish with a touch of femininity. The collection uses men’s tailoring and body conscious silhouettes to flatter the female form with a focus on leather jackets, printed silk tops and immaculately fitted denims.

My friend Susan invited me to this event. A hot summer evening it was, so we enjoyed our cocktails!

What?

Fingers on Fire - part 1 - DIY a la Balmain !

Hello,

Hey guys, thank you so much to all the new visitors and especially new followers to the blog. Hope you all enjoy it.

So here it is part 1 of my DIY posts... I must say this is just a little teaser of what is about to come, watch this space, I am finalizing my experiments and soon as it's all finished (and hopefully, all good) I will be posting here.

The inspiration was Balmain...

And this was a quick transformation to the back of the top. The top has elasticated straps and therefore they naturally twisted, I made an adjustment to that and applied the studs onto it.

I kept simple on the front, just added a few studs.

I think it turned out quite cute!

What do you guys think? Leave me a comment!

It's another Westwood for Melissa

Hello,

As always, whenever I come across any of the new Melissas for Vivienne Westwood, I cannot help myself but screaming at the computer screen!

It's just so exciting to find out which of her iconic designs, is gonna be the new plastic fantastic shoes.

If you are into lolita or gothic, or is just a fan of the 'rocking horse' style, now it's your turn!
They will be coming out soon...

The new design has also a wing detail, an inspiration which might have come from Redbull... who knows?!?!

And below a quick look in some original rocking horse styles...

And since I got started on subject... have you guys seen the Wellingtons boots???
I want a pair so badly! The squiggle print is THE most iconic of the Anglomania range, a TOTAL Westwood classic.

I am loving the blue one! They are available at Vivienne Westwood online, £95.

Plastic dreams everyone!

Ryan Bingham's new song "Country Roads" was chosen as the official theme song for Dolce & Gabbana's 2010 Men's Collection.

Bingham is huge in Italy!

Trust me, this video is worth a viewing! Eye candy, baby.

Sao Paulo Fashion week - final post

Hello,

Here are some more pictures from the Sao Paulo Fashion Week S/S 2010.

Another compliation of my favourite shows from the last three days. I much more enjoyed those last collections.
I found them to be a little more innovative and creative compared to some of the previous shows. Different materials, prints and patterns... which I think fashion week should be all about.

20.06

Animale, really love all those looks, makes me think of Bottega Veneta for some reason, cut out dresses made of very fine fabric resembling paper, with a leather look. How cool!
Gorgeous accessories too.

Fause Haten, volume, gathers and frills + a harness kind of thing... I am wondering what is not to like about this collection?

Gloria Coelho, futuristc meets body-con, the 2 ideas work really well together. I don't like the shoes at all... they are terrible, actually.

21.06

Ronaldo Fraga, I believe this collection is actually my very, VERY favourite... It's very hard to choose amongst all others but, I honestly would wear every single look and I am drooling over the skull print and the cut out dresses (again).
On the last row, the first picture is my favourite dress, it would be a DREAM to wear it!

22.06

Samuel Cirnansck, I am a fan of his work anyway... just showing the diversity of his collection, inspired by the rumba dance. Finishing the show with his signature floaty dresses. Beautiful.

Ps: I am so excited about tomorrow's post! Stay tuned ;)
