High waisted skirts do a great job accentuating an hour glass figure, or making you look like you have some curves. It also helps make your legs look longer, but when you wear those curvy skirts with a Sun Devil t-shirt, or any t-shirt for that matter, it simply looks horrible. Most of the time if you add the t-shirt, the colors clash.

Most of the time if you add the t-shirt, the colors clash.
Example: yellow Sun Devil t-shirt with high waisted, purple floral print, skirt.
The t-shirt usually is baggy and wide on your figure offsetting the purpose of the skirt. There is however and exception to this rule. If you consider a plain white or black v-neck shirt to be a t-shirt, than it would look decent. Just remember to spice it up with accessories.
