Don’t Drown In The Faux Fur Frenzy

While Faux Fur is definitely on the list of must haves this fall that doesn’t mean that all fur coats are completely fair game. When placing pieces together, especially pieces that catch your eye such as fur coats, you have to be careful not to over layer so that a foxy faux fur ensemble won’t turn out to look tacky and lazily thrown together.

The individual pieces to Sienna Miller's outfit have the potential to look wonderful without the clunky coat. The baggy stripped shirt paired with the frumpy plaid coat creates a very unwanted sloppy look. Fur coats are very tricky to pull off and the first thing you want to avoid when wearing a fur coat with such poufy aspects is to it to look as puffed up as the trim on your sleeve. Try to find coats that complement your figure and if they do have a roomier feel make sure you don’t pair them with a flowy shirt, so you do not to look like you are being swallowed by your outfit.

Kate Moss’s use of the Fur coat is much sleeker and form fitting providing a complementing balance.  The black and beige color scheme of her outfit blend well together to create a very sophisticated look.
