In the 60's supermodel Twiggy revolutionized style with her drastic pixie style cut making the hairstyle one of the most popular haircuts of the decade.
Fast forward nearly 50 years and starlettes are once again ditching their locks in favor of chic shorter do's.
I personally love this hairstyle. It's daring, bold, and a real empowering look for women. It's one of my favorite returning trends. Though this look can be difficult to pull off, there are many versions that can compliment various face shapes. Rounder faces need to gear more toward the Carrie Mulligan full bang look while heart shapes and ovals can put off shorter, choppier styles. If you're forehead is smaller, try a style with enough length to be slicked back a-la-Hayden Panetierre. Do your research before trying this cut to make sure you get the right look for you, and if you're brave enough, head on over to the salon. I definitely recommend women go short at least once to test it out; you'll never know until you try right?
