Dallas: Designer Divas and Cowpokes Too

When most people think Texas, they think jeans, cowboy boots and hats. But you may surprised to learn that Dallas fashion isn't just that.
Designer labels are often spotted in Dallas and its affluent suburbs. In NorthPark Mall, for example, people buy Oscar de la Renta gowns, Marc Jacobs shoes and other things from every top designer under the sun. Dallas also participates in Fashion Week every year.

Yet despite highly sought after designers being available in Dallas, we never quite forget our stereotypical fashion heritage.

























So those of you that thought it was just about the jeans and cowboy boots, you were almost right. There's more to Dallas fashion, and Texas fashion in general, than meets the eye.
If you're ever in the area, visit a big mall like NorthPark or Willow Bend to experience the high fashion. Then hit up any country western dance hall to take in the jeans, big glitzy buckles, and boots that make up the tried and true Texas style.
