NY Fashion Week: Anna Sui

A sense of fashion nostalgia has swept over the runways at NY Fashion Week, and we’re feeling the carefree era of the seventies. In particular, Anna Sui’s S/S 2011 collection oozes bohemian hippy chic. So ladies it’s time to get your groove on and be at one with Mother Nature.

The collection boasted a tribal vibe, complete with Nordic and floral printed kaftans, the obvious staple piece for any fun loving free spirit. Calf length leather boots were a footwear favourite throughout the show in shades of bark, cinnamon and gun metal, the hues complemented the outdoor theme of the clothes to perfection. Also capturing the natural nude tones of nature, goddess inspired outfits displayed ruffled gypsy shirts and white lace clam skirts, ideal for the few hot days of summer England manages to grasp next summer.
