It's that time of year again: the time for flowers, chocolates, and those sparkly gifts we all love so much.
Yes it's Valentine's day! And with Valentine's comes the worlds largest appreciation for rose hues. Everywhere you go all you see are parades of pink and red.
Don't get me wrong i'm a huge fan of both colors but on February 14th it's pink/red overload. Too many times have I seen women out looking like long lost twins. So this year try something just a little different.
Spice up your V-Day with shades of purple!
Purple, while not quite traditional on the day of love, is super sexy and the different shades flatter almost everyone. It keeps that air of romance and sweetness without looking like a "been there, done that" ensemble.
From violet to lavender, there's a look that works for any plans you've got on the 14th.
This year try a ruffled lavender cocktail dress to party it up with your girls or a skin tight indigo mini for a night out with your guy.
Remember, just because it's V-Day doesn't mean you have to go pink or go home.
